Horizons in Holography will offer:

Knowledge exchange

Strengthening participant's knowledge in different fields of holography by lectures given by world famous researchers. We believe that this approach will be fundamental to understand the challenges and trade-offs ahead of holography in the future. 15 lectures are scheduled within the course of the summer school.

Lab Practice and Team Work

Future talents need practice to achieve perfection. Therefore several labs are design to show holography at its best. Students will deal with practical aspects of holography and solving practical tasks. We are planning to  accommodate students with different level of experience and background to include everyone in the labs.

Demonstration

Students will be given a tour in several labs to broaden their understanding of practical aspects and equipment used to create and test holograms for variety of applications. Several companies are invited to contribute for the industrial aspect of career in holography. We hope they will provide information about products and applications that will be intriguing for the school's attendees.

Fun

Together with the tutorials there needs to be a lot of fun. So, we have planned different ways to make your participation memorable and pleasant, to foster networking between the participants and to connect you with your peers. A special networking format called "Swap-a-topic" was invented by several of our team members (Emma Branigan, Pamela Stoeva,  Faolan Mc Govern ) to break the ice between the contestants and at the same time to expand students' knowledge.

All that could happen anywhere in the world but it will never be as good as when it happens in Dublin!
